Channeling my inner science geek

You know those knitters who have a cute little bag for each project? Ha ha ha! Where's the challenge in that? Where's the sense of adventure you get from digging through a pile of who knows what, trying to find your size one circulars and your stitch markers, so you can start the socks for that SAM KAL, and oh by the way, it's August twenty-what? I live on the edge, people, and I make no excuses. Well, maybe one excuse. I'm fighting back a cold. Not that I'd be any neater otherwise. This is the way I roll, my creative process. I have science on my side--from chaos comes order. Bite me Einstein.

I missed the Rockies Stitch and Pitch a few weeks ago, but we've got tickets for tomorrow's game versus the Dodgers, so my plan is to have my own little Stitch and Pitch and blog it from my iPhone. Check back after about 2 p.m. Mountain Time tomorrow. And don't forget to enter my little giveaway if you haven't already. I could use a few more jokes, as if my project pile isn't hysterical enough!

  2. Ok fun. I want to go to the Rockies Stitch and Pitch next year!

Good luck with the socks! Separate project bag for each project. I'd be embarrassed by the number of bags though.

  3. I'm only working on one project, so no project pile mess. Except in my head, where I've got plans for the next four designs all criss-crossing. Hmm, how did that shawl collar wind up on a mitten? Doesn't look too bad.

  4. Holy crap we are such twins. Right now the knitting area is still enjoying the recent clean-up but I know it's only a matter of time before the whole situation explodes. Your picture is so familiar to me. And "my own little stitch and bitch." it's not too often to find a brain that makes so much sense to me. Thanks blog friend.

  5. i always point out, truly gifted people can find order in what other see as chaos.

and i know how it is--there been a break in the brutal heat--a good thing too, since my 'casual' style of clean had slipped into slovenly--but this week i attacked the kitchen (even cleaned the oven)--and things are less slovenly.

  6. I take an archeological approach to organizing -- it's all about the layers stacking up over time.

  7. Is that what that photo is? science! That looks an awful lot like the mess on the shelf in the bedroom I had to tidy up yesterday, since my husband decided he wanted access to the closet again...
