I'm on a fantasy kick right now, so this summer I think I'll continue this series called the Sevenwaters Forest, and throw in some YA fiction since I am a 7th/8th grade English teacher. The third book in the Single Thread series, A Thread So Thin, is out and I will probably read that too.Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04984114677499572092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5223334335186523214.post-35896909905632016182010-06-14T12:42:58.303-06:002010-06-14T12:42:58.303-06:00I just finished The Help (highly recommend) and I&...I just finished The Help (highly recommend) and I'm going to start Cormac McCarthy's Border Trilogy next.Tinanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5223334335186523214.post-26668683963484835732010-06-14T09:46:02.234-06:002010-06-14T09:46:02.234-06:00For my summer reading, I'm finally going to ge...For my summer reading, I'm finally going to get the chance to start the Yarn Harlot books that have been impatiently waiting for me. Headed to Canada on holiday in August so this will be my holiday reading and I can only hope that I won't lose my book to a chambermaid this year.

Last year in New York, I sat on the bed after a long day walking and sightseeing and looked forward to a couple of chapters of my book before bed. It was gone!!! Don't know whether it fell in the bin or in the maid's pocket but I had to buy another copy when I got home.Lindanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5223334335186523214.post-12982384296038683082010-06-13T21:22:02.694-06:002010-06-13T21:22:02.694-06:00Jody said...

I have to say, Portrait of an Artist put me in a COMA during college, don't know how I did Joyce. A friend gave it to me a few years ago. I started it and didn't finish it.

I LOVE Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Stoppard rocks in general. Actually, it looks like she has a good list. But then I was a Lit Major.
The movie script of R&G is different than the play script just a wee bit. So she should read the version they gave her first before she runs off and rents the movie, which has Gary Oldman. Who also Rocks.

Oh, was I supposed to talk about more books? (The series is getting a little tired at this point but I have to finish it out til the end at this point, eh?) That new vampire book, The Passage will probably get a looksee. Everybody keeps talking about it and making comparisons to The Stand so I now I *have* to read it.
And I really should finish the Outlander #4 book on my Kindle that I started about 6 months ago but never finished. (Now THAT series I think I am done with but I paid for the damn thing so I should finish it. Even if it makes my eyes roll back into my head so hard I'll need a surgeon to get them back.
