My slender link to sanity has been knitting, of course. I'm posting a few photos here, and I'll give you details later in the week. I've been so
Tulips Colorful Cardigan
Sock Swatch
Pretty Baby Sweater--a gift
The buttons cost more than the yarn, but so worth it!
I started this Traveling Woman Shawl on the way home from our Minnesota road trip. I've actually finished it AND another shawl. Not bad for a slacker.
Last but not least, a few weeks ago I managed to kill my 20 year old Kitchenaid mixer. Fortunately Costco had this bad boy on sale:
It was love at first sight!
More tomorrow. No, really. REALLY! And thanks to those of you who sent me emails, wondering what the hell happened to me. I also promise to catch up on my blog reading. ::sigh::
Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that red KitchenAids make the BEST cookies! LOL
Really, twenty years? That's quite the endorsement for Kitchenaid. Which is good to know. Mine is only four years old which means I have many more years to look forward to with him (her? It seems like a him).
ReplyDeleteI wondered what happened to you...but then I've pretty much fallen off the earth, too, these last couple of months. I've been hoping it wasn't anything terrible, maybe just too much life all in one place. That's what it's been here-health issues and a whole lot of life. Glad to see you're back! Prayers and happy thoughts for better health.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. You were missed. I was afraid that you'd given up knitting in favor of reading (Twitter posts). I'm looking forward to hearing all about your projects.
ReplyDeleteGet well!
Glad to see you're back. My kitchenaid mixer is still plugging after 30 years - knock on wood. Just gave one to my two girls for their birthday's this past year. Hope theirs hold up as well as ours did.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of your kitchenaid mixer, I've always wanted one of those ;)
I really was concerned and getting ready to send out the sled dogs. SO good to hear from you again!
ReplyDeleteHey so good to see you post! I've missed your blogging. I'm sorry you've had bad allergy problems. That's miserable. Love your new Kitchenaid mixer and wow you've been knitting lots of beautiful things. I'm getting to go enlarge all of them so I can take a good look!
ReplyDeleteJelli, I'm so glad that you are knitting and posting. I also made a baby set this past week - like minds ...
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with your knee? I have to go next week - mine is acting like an old man and it's a powerful pain in the arse!
Love your new stand mixer. I own the same one just in silver. I like the red much better, so!
ReplyDeleteHow is little Tilly? And DD at college?
I covet a Kitchen Aid mixer but never thought I'd use it enough to justify the cost. Every so often I ask for one for Christmas, but he's never done it.
ReplyDeleteI would totally get the red one, too.
At least your knitting continues! I've always loved the Peter Rabbit buttons. :-)
New to your blog, but loving it.
ReplyDeleteI started a low carb diet (cut out starches, especially wheat) and now I only get the "I'm so crabby I could scream or kick someone" feelings the day after I eat too much wheat. I feel so much better physically and emotionally since I got off the demon starch.
